Sissamba Ladies run riot as Rootz Sistaz and Essiam Socrates secure victories on Matchday Two

Matchday Two of the 2025/26 GFA Regional Women’s Championship Southern zone delivered more excitement and goals as teams in Group A intensified their battle for qualification.

Essiam Socrates produced a standout performance of the day with a commanding 4-0 victory over Blacoe Soccer Queens. After earning a draw on Matchday One, Essiam Socrates responded strongly with an impressive attacking display, dominating proceedings from start to finish to secure their first win of the tournament in emphatic fashion.

Rootz Sistaz continued their fine form with a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Adidome Unity Ladies. Having already claimed victory in their opening fixture, Rootz Sistaz maintained their winning momentum with another disciplined performance.

In the final game of the day, Sissamba Ladies bounced back from their opening defeat to record an emphatic 7-1 win over Immigration Ladies.

Sissamba Ladies displayed clinical finishing and attacking dominance, overwhelming their opponents in one of the highest-scoring matches of the competition so far.

Matches in Group A will resume on Monday May 18 at the Tuba Astro Turf.
