Ghana came up tops in its preparatory match on Thursday ahead of Sunday’s 2010 African Nations Cup and World Cup qualifier with Libya.
The Black Stars played a two-hour test match with two different oppositions in two halves.
First to test the team’s preparedness for the Sunday was second division Konongo-based side, Oweiriman – former club of Sulley Muntari.
And Ghana winger, Laryea Kingston made the difference when his solitary goal separated both sides.
Up next to test the Black Stars was West Ham, a first division club based in Kumasi and the team handed them a 5-1 defeat.
A brace from Prince Buaben and a goal each coming from Quincy Owusu Abeyie, Sulley Muntari and Prince Tagoe gave the Ghana team victory while Daniel Atta grabbed a consolation for the division one side.
Ghana is training in Kumasi in the run-up to Sunday’s 2010 African Nations Cup and World Cup qualifier at the Baba Yara Stadium against the Libyans who arrive on Friday.
