Sung Shinning Ladies annihilate Bolga All stars Ladies in Regional Women’s championship
Sung Shinning Ladies shined on Matchday two as they picked their second win in the ongoing Regional Women's championship at Winkogo. The Wa based side thrashed Bolga All Stars Ladies 6:0 to record their second win on the spin.
Gladys Salifu opened the scoring after connecting a Rabi Adams corner kick. That didn’t take long to add to the tally as Yazdadatu Sulemana scored from the spot in the 11th minute. Sung Shinning Ladies proved too strong for the Bolga based team. Immaculate Bagara scored a brace within three minutes before Manasseh Junior scored from a counter attack to give Sung Shinning Ladies a 6:0 win.
In other Group B game, a dominant display from FC Savannah saw them pick their second win in the championship after defeating Candy soccer Academy 4:0.
Two goals in either half takes FC Savanna to the top of the Group B table with 6 points.
Issah Amama scored in the 22nd minute before Safia Abdul Rahman laid a pass to Dagarati Seidu to double their lead in the 40th minute.
Skipper of FC Savannah, Asana Ibrahim scored a brace in the second half to give her side a 4:0.
Meanwhile, Nasara Ladies defeated Fabulous Ladies 2:0 to pick up their first win in the competition. Fabulous Ladies are without a win and would look to up their game in their subsequent matches to keep their hopes of making it to the top flight.
The third match of the competition will take place on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the Kurt E. S Okraku Technical centre in Winkogo.
