Ghana striker Prince Tagoe is hoping to flourish in Germany after finally completing his move to Hoffenheim on Tuesday.
The Bundesliga debutants managed to beat a host of clubs to the signature of the Black Stars striker.
And Tagoe who joins the German side from Saudi Arabia side Al-Ittifaq, says the lure of playing regular football in Europe attracted him to the Rhein Neckar Arena.
“There have been several African players who have gone to Hoffenheim and flourished and of all the clubs they were the best,” Tagoe said.
“I wanted to go to a club where I can play regularly and the coaches at Hoffeinheim have assured me that they will give me the chance to prove my worth. After three years in Saudi Arabia, I think it is now.”
Prince Tagoe penned a 3-year contract after passing a medical on Tuesday.
Premier League sides Fulham and Middlesbrough, together with Valencia, Villareal and Rennes were all reported to be keen to land the 22-year-old.
But Tagoe opted to join Hoffenheim.
