Tamale City maintain top spot, Real Tamale United remain second in Zone One of Access Bank Division One League
Real Tamale United secured an impressive 2-0 win over Victory Club Warriors at the Aliu Mahama Stadium, courtesy of last-gasp goals from Wisdom Jonas (89th minute) and Samuel Lamptey (stoppage time). The win keeps them in second place with 18 points – one point behind city rivals Tamale City who lead the Zone with 19 points after seven matches.
In another Zone 1B match, Debibi United stunned former Premier League side Bofoakwa Tano 3-1. Abudu Yakubu opened the scoring (17th minute), followed by Dauda Yahaya Sadam's brace (61st and 68th minutes). Solomon Adu scored a consolation goal for Bofoakwa Tano in the 78th minute.
Meanwhile Zone One A leaders Tamale City solidified their top spot with a resounding 5-1 victory over Walewale Catholic Stars at the Aliu Mahama Stadium. Abdul Basit Lamale scored twice (11th and 19th minutes), but Prince Gbedzo narrowed the gap with a 23rd-minute penalty. Tawfik Salis Mohammed made it 3-1 by halftime. After the break, Abdul Basit Lamale completed his hat-trick (62nd minute), and Abdul Majeed Mohammed sealed the win (85th minute) for Tamale City.
