The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in collaboration with the Ghana National Ambulance Service (GNAS), organized a one-day First Aid and Safety Precautions training for staff at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE) in Prampram on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
The training, themed "Timely Care, Saves Lives," aimed to equip staff with the knowledge and skills to provide immediate care and treatment in emergencies, ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening medical conditions.
Participants learned how to activate the National Ambulance Service and provide timely care before transporting patients to the hospital.
Established in 2004 through the FIFA Goal Project, the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence serves as the GFA's Technical Centre. Located in Miotso, Ningo/Prampram District, Greater Accra Region, it hosts Ghana's national male and female teams.
The Centre also facilitates football-related workshops, training programs, and is available for clubs, corporate bodies, and churches. Operating hours are Monday to Friday for administrative tasks and weekends for events and camping.
