Tema United, John Paintsil FC Lead Respective Zones After First Round of Greater Accra Division Two League

The Greater Accra Regional Division Two League has reached its midway point, with Tema United and John Paintsil FC emerging as dominant forces in their respective zones after an exciting first round.

Tema United have been in superb form, leading Zone 1 with 34 points from 15 matches. The club has won 11 games and has remained unbeaten since Match Day 4. They have also proven to be a goal-scoring machine, finding the net 38 times, while conceding 17 goals in the process.

In Zone 5, John Paintsil FC have matched Tema United’s dominance, also collecting 34 points after 16 matches. They have scored 32 goals while conceding just 11. However, the zone still has an outstanding fixture between Star Makers FC and Yitshar FC, which could influence the standings, but will not affect the position of John Paintsil FC on the table.

Beyond Tema United and John Paintsil FC, other clubs have also stamped their authority in their respective zones:

• MSK Zilina Africa FC lead Zone 2 with 29 points and still have an outstanding game to play.
• New Town Youth are on top of Zone 3, having amassed 33 points from 15 games.
• Sporting Club Accra lead Zone 4, also with 33 points from 15 matches.

With the first round concluded, the league will now take a short break before resuming for the second round, where teams will battle for promotion and a shot at Division One football.
