Berekum Arsenal boosted their survival hopes in the Glo Premier League after posting a 1-0 home win over Tema Youth on Wednesday.

Joseph Masel scored the match winner after 25 minutes as the Gunners lifted themselves off the foot of the table to second from bottom.

Tema Youth, who have been inconsistent for a greater part of the season saw red in the second half when Kenneth Owusu was dismissed for violent conduct.

And the loss leaves Tema Youth four points above the relegation zone.

The Gunners are hopeful of avoiding the drop with nine matches remaining in the league.
