Tema Youth improved their chances of having to battle with relegation when they posted a 3-0 home win over Heart of Lions at the Tema Park.

All the goals came in the second half as the win represented a sixth league victory for Tema Youth.

After a goalless first half, Tema Youth upped their game in the second half scoring the opener through a beautiful lob from the far-left by Jeremiah Akorful which sailed into the upper corner of Nana Bonsu's goal.

Eight minutes later, Joshua Onniku tapped in from a freekick was Bonsu did well to palm out.

Substitute Abel Hammond wrapped up victory for Tema Youth when he had the simplest of tap-ins from five yards.
