Aduana Stars cruised to a 2-0 win against ten-man Heart of Lions on Saturday at the Agyemang Badu Park to go top of the Glo Premier League standings.

The 2009-10 league champions will enjoy the summit temporarily with seven fixtures scheduled for Sunday.

Two second half goals from Godfred Saka and Daniel Darkwah within a three-minute spell ensured that the Dormaa side claimed a third straight win in the league and all three points in the match-day-7 encounter.

Saka scored the opener from the spot after Heart of Lions player Daniel Acquaye felled an opponent in the penalty box in the 68th minute.

Acquaye, who had already picked up a first booking was shown a second yellow card, reducing Lions to ten men as referee Reginald Lathbridge awarded a penalty.

Two minutes after the opener, Aduana doubled their lead this time through Darkwah who beat goalkeeper Nana Bonsu after the home side broke on the counter.
