Asante Kotoko player Ahmed Toure is voted Player of the Year for the 2010/2011 season by the Premier League Board.
The striker topped the poll ahead of Berekum Chelsea’s Emmanuel Clottey and former Heart of Lions midfielder Gladson Awako.
Toure, was in fine form for Kotoko this year, helping the club to turn around a poor start to finish fifth.
New league champions, topped the award categories after they were presented with GHS 15,000 for winning the 2010/2011 League title and a 12-seater van.
Coach of the side, Orlando Wellington was named the Best Coach while Ernest Sowah was adjudged the Best Goalkeeper in the league.
The Best CEO award was handed to Chelsea’s Obed Nana Kwame Nketia
Rashid Sumaila of Ebusua Dwarfs picked the Best Defender award.
Berekum Arsenal striker Nana Poku received the Premier League’s Goal King prize after finishing the season with 16 goals.
