True Democracy share spoils with leaders Hohoe United, Port City held at home by Koforidua Semper Fi in Zone Three
Tema-based True Democracy shared the spoils in a keenly contested goalless draw with Zone Three leaders Hohoe United at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Saturday. Hohoe United and True Democracy engaged in a thrilling, end-to-end encounter, but despite numerous scoring opportunities, the match ultimately ended in a goalless stalemate, leaving the home fans disappointed. The draw allows Hohoe United to extend their lead at the top of the table, accumulating 42 points after Matchday 19 and maintaining a 4-point advantage over second-placed Port City.
In Kukurantumi - Port City FC came from a goal down to rescue a 1-1 draw against Koforidua Semper Fi at the Ohene Park. Samuel Adonteng Owusu scored first for Koforidua Semper Fi in the 29th minute, before Eric Tibu leveled matters for Port City in the 73rd minute. Port City remains in second place in the League with 38 points after Matchday 19.
Meanwhile former Premier League side Accra Great Olympics dropped points again for the fifth successive time as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Kotoku Royals. Yusif Abdul-Razak broke the deadlock three minutes after the break with a lovely header, but Nurudeen Seidu equalized with a good strike in the 61st minute. The Dade boys have now picked up only 2 points from a possible 15 and occupy the 4th position in the log with 33 points – 9 points behind leaders Hohoe United.
