Hans Van der Plyum has revealed that he was left frustrated by the lack of transfer dealings at Heart of Lions, a situation which made him exit.

The Dutch coach had been preparing the side for the new campaign but he surprisingly walked out on Monday with just three weeks left to the start of the Glo Premier League.

Van der Plyum says the club did little to reinforce their squad and compete in the league having lost inspirational midfielder Gladson Awako to champions, Berekum Chelsea and Tanko Mohammed.

“We didn’t have quality players and they didn’t do anything about it. So what do u expects a coach to do in such a situation” he said.

“Look I did nothing wrong and if they go around to accuse me of anything, that will be very unfortunate and I won’t take it lightly at all.

“Every coach wants the best and they didn’t do enough for the club. Structures are broken I think it’s not proper for my image to go into the season with such a situation.”

The Dutchman is well aware of the concerns about his man-management skills with club insiders describing it as not the best. But Van der Plyum denies such concerns.

“It’s not true I frustrated the players and made their stay at the club difficult. Whoever that says that is a lie.

“Which coach doesn’t want to work with the best players? And so such talk can only come from little minds.”
