Asante Kotoko have moved to 8th on the league table after beating Hearts of Oak 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Porcupine warriors shot into the lead in the 24th minute through skipper Amos Frimpong after Robin Gnagne missed an 18th minute penalty.
In the second half, Hearts of Oak returned into the game with an aim of finding the equalizer and Foovi Aguidi's 65th minute shot brought the game level.
With just five minutes to full-time, Dauda Mohammed capitalised on a defensive blunder to give Kotoko the lead and the three points on the day.
The results has sunk the Phobians deeper into the relegation zone as they now find themselves just above bottom placed BA United.
