Volta RFA organises seminar for football stakeholders

The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) has organised a one-day seminar for Division Two Clubs and other stakeholders in the region.

The seminar, which was held at the Ho Municipal Assembly Hall, was aimed at enhancing the best practices in football to improve and develop the game in the region.

Participants that included club owners and administrative managers were taken through some relevant topics such as sports nutrition, first aid, sports marketing, and the laws of the game.

Chairman of the Regional Football Association, Daniel Agbogah opines that the seminar intends to empower every stakeholder in the game, especially at the grassroots level. He emphasized that there shall be more of such programs to address issues before, during and after every season.

The Ho Municipal Chief Executive who doubles as the General Manager of Home Stars FC, Hon. Divine Richard Bosson, graced the occasion and commended the Regional Football Association for organising the seminar. He also pledged his unwavering support and urged the regional teams to aim high and take branding of their clubs seriously.

Regional Manager of the Ghana Red Cross Society, Gershon Dzokoto also took participants through the basic steps of first aid in preserving life and preventing injury from getting worse.

The Founder of Soccertme Africa and Chief Executive Officer of Hohoe United, Edem Ansah, enlightened participants on sports management and marketing. He urged team owners and managers to take branding and player welfare seriously because they are they are the greatest assets in the football ecosystem.

A former Ghana Premier League Referee and member secretary of the Referees Committee of the Volta FA, Shine Ayitey sensitised participants on the Laws of the Game, highlighting handball and offsides.

Over 73 clubs were in attendance and were given footballs at the end of the seminar.
