Deputy skipper of the Black Starlets, Abdullai Nortey, has been named in the match day squad to start the semi-final match of the ongoing WAFU Zone B U17 Championship with Burkina Faso this evening.

The game will kick off at 17:00GMT at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Coach Laryea Kingston started Nortey from the bench in the last group game against Benin on Tuesday but the deputy skipper will be back against Burkina Faso.

Laryea will revert to the team that started the first game of the tournament and won 5-1 against Ivory Coast.

With Michael Armah in post, the Black Starlets will have Bilal, Izdeen, Gbafa and Hamza at the back while Nortey, Kagawa and Ayamga play in midfield.

In attack, skipper Tsivanyo will team up with Sarpong and Narbi.

Ghana will be chasing, not only a win against Burkina Faso, but also qualification to the 2025 U17 AFCON.
