Wassaman United are through to the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup after rallying from a goal down to win 2-1 over Tema Youth on Monday in Tarkwa.

Striker Godbless Asamoah's match winner in the second half sets up a last-four meeting with New Edubiase on Sunday.

The outstanding quarter-final match was finally cleared on Monday at the T&A Park following its cancellation 24 hours earlier due to a heavy downpour which rendered the pitch unplayable.

And when both teams reconvened, it was the visitors, Tema Youth who drew first blood through Derrick Mensah.

But Raphael Obeng drew Wassaman, relegated from the Premier League, level in the 68th minute after connecting a pass from inside the box.

The tie looked like heading for penalties when Asamoah snatched the winner in the 85th minute to send Wassaman through to the semi-finals and keep alive their hopes of claiming the title as they go down to the second tier next season.

The winner of the semi-final meeting between Wassaman and New Edubiase will meet AshantiGold in the finals.
