A first batch of female Football Administrators, for 2024, shall participate in the Women’s Football Administrators Course which will start on September 8, 2024, at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.
This specialised training will run until September 11, 2024, and is aimed at enhancing the administrative capacities of club officials from the Regional Women's Division One League.
The inaugural batch of participants for 2024 will consist of 40 Women Administrators from clubs in the Greater Accra Region, Eastern Region, Volta Region, Central Region, and Western Region.
This initiative is a key component of the GFA's broader Women’s Football Strategy, which seeks to build capacities of women in football management and development across the country.
The course was approved by FIFA on July 30, 2024, following a formal application by the GFA, emphasising the global football governing body's commitment to supporting the growth of women’s football in Ghana.
Leading the course are two distinguished FIFA Instructors: British Instructor Michelle Jane Kerr and Zimbabwean Thubaelihle Bridgette Saband. Both Instructors bring a wealth of international experience and expertise in football administration, and this promises a high-quality learning experience for participants.
Participants will receive comprehensive training in various aspects of football administration, including finance, marketing, governance, and strategic planning.
This course further reflects the commitment of the GFA to promoting gender equality and empowering women in football.
The second batch of Administrators. drawn from other Football regions of Ghana, shall be taken through the course later in September.
