SUPREME LADIES X FABULOUS LADIES
Supreme Ladies will be hosting their city rivals Fabulous Ladies in a fearsome battle on Saturday as the two teams fight superiority on the Kumasi Metropolis. Supreme Ladies pulled a surprise on Northern Ladies when they drew against them with a 90th minute equalizer courtesy a Joyce Atimbila goal which leveled things up for them to go home with a point. They have won only one game, lost one and drawn two in their 4 previous matches and have a golden chance to restore some pride against their city rivals. Fabulous Ladies traveled to face Prisons Ladies but lost 3-1 to in that encounter – having started the season with a win against Kumasi Sports Academy. But have since lost 2 and drew one. Princess Owusu got the consolation goal in their defeat against Prisons Ladies and will be looking to continue in that form. Supreme and Fabulous Ladies sit 8th and 9th in the League table respectively with both have 4 points each. A win for either side will be a good confidence booster for the rest of the season as we are about to draw the curtain for the first round of the League.
AMPEM DARKOA X NORTHERN LADIES
This game promises to be an exciting fixture among the pack for Match Day 5 as two of the best teams in the Zone – Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Northern Ladies clash at the Ohene Ameyaw Park on Saturday. The former, leapfrogged Dreamz Ladies after silencing them 4:0 on Math Day 4. This win comes as a boost the for last season’s Premier League runners up as they have launched another ambition to win the Northern Zone one more time. Northern Ladies on the other hand are entering the fixture on the back of a 2:2 draw with Supreme Ladies. Fixtures between these two sides usually end in favour of Ampem Darkoa Ladies but it could also be a redemption mission for the ‘Pride of the North’.
ASHTOWN LADIES X PRISONS LADIES
Ashtown Ladies play host to Prison Ladies at the Bantama AstroTurf in Kumasi this weekend. The host seems to have picked up the pieces following a poor start to the League after defeating Pearl Pia Ladies in their last outing. Prison Ladies on the other hand are also coming into the game with an emphatic victory recorded against Fabulous Ladies last weekend. The home side will be counting on the individual brilliance of Firdous Yakubu whiles Prison’s Ladies count on the likes of Cynthia Adobia, Abigail Tututwaa and Helena Obeng. No injury situations at camp as the ladies are poised for action this weekend.
FC SAVANNAH X DREAMS LADIES
FC Savannah will host Dreamz Ladies will lock horns in a Match Day 5 fixture at the Aliu Mahama stadium in Tamale on Friday. The "Fire Ladies" will be looking to register their second win of the 2021/2022 season after picking an impressive point on the road against Kumasi Sports Academy. The vociferous and chanting home fans will be key in this fixture as FC Savannah aim to continue their impressive form against Dreamz Ladies. Dreamz Ladies on the other hand are low in confidence after succumbing to Ampem Darkoa. Even though FC Savannah thrashed Dreamz Ladies by 3 - 0 at the Aliu Mahama Sports during the Zonal Championship, the tie could be tricky for the home side.
