Pearlpia Ladies maintain their wonderful start to the season in the National Women’s Premier League, after thumping Supreme Ladies by 3-0 at the Tamale Utrecht Academy Park on Saturday.
In a game that did not produce a single goal in the first half with few chances, saw Barikisu Abdul Rahaman popularly known as (Akity) broke the deadlock in the 48th minute after connecting from close range Fuseina Mumuni’s freekick to put the Tamale based club in the lead.
Pearlpia Ladies doubled their lead in the 58th minute through Barikisu Abdul Rahaman again, who find the bottom right corner of the net after taking on two defenders of Supreme Ladies to complete her brace.
Former Black Maidens attacker Fuseina Mumuni scores a beautiful volley from 30 yards in the 60th minute to ensure her side second consecutive victory of the season, after Supreme Ladies goalkeeper Barikisu Azaare failed to make an early return in clearing off her lines.
Supreme Ladies came close for a consolation when left back Nancy Amoh freekick hit the crossbar in the 79th minute of the game.
The Kumasi based side tested Pearlpia Ladies just before the referee brought proceedings to an end, but goalkeeper Cyntia Konlan Fiindib was up to the task to ensure her side runaway with the three maximum points.
After the game Pearlpia Ladies Defender Alhassan Bintu was adjudged the NASCO Player of the match.
Pearlpia Ladies will now travel to play Prisons Ladies in Sunyani on Saturday.
