Leaders of the Northern Zone, Ampem Darkoa Ladies host Northern Ladies in Techiman on Monday, while, Supreme Ladies clash with Ashtown Ladies at Ejisu. Here is a preview of match day seven.
Fabulous Ladies vs Prisons Ladies
Fabulous Ladies will be looking for their first win of the season as they take on Prisons Ladies at the WESCO park in Kumasi. Coach Nana Atuahene must galvanise his ladies as the season progresses in order to overturn the dwindling fortunes of the club. They have managed only 2 draws in 6 matches. Prisons Ladies have lacked consistency, but have got plenty of fire power in their ranks this season having played an inspiring game to beat Pearl Pia Ladies on Saturday, their first home win. Supreme Ladies vs Ashtown Ladies
Supreme Ladies will be looking for a confidence booster on Saturday in their game against Ashtown Ladies, at the Okese park in Ejisu. The Supreme lads have not been consistent this season and their defeat to Northern Ladies last time out did not come as a surprise due to their uninspiring form in the ongoing campaign. They sit 6th in the table and will be looking to improve upon that position as the season progresses. Ashtown Ladies are 5th on the zonal table and are have a good chance of cementing a place in the top four. They were taught a biter lesson by Ampem Darkoa Ladies the last week but still have the quality to take the game to the opposition – especially away from home. Their last encounter ended 1-1, where Comfort Baah Berchie was on target for Ashtown and Patience Afriyie also for Supreme Ladies.
Pearl Pia Ladies vs Kumasi Sports Academy
Pearl Pia Ladies are in dire need of a win to turn their season around. The Tamale based side are languishing in the bottom spot in the table following a sting of poor results. They will play host to Kumasi Sports Academy this Saturday at the Utrecht park, where they have won only once in three attempts. Pearl Pia Ladies were pipped 1-0 last courtesy an Abigail Tutuwaa goal. Coach Baba Nuhu will be eager to see his side stay clear of the relegation picture and is targeting games such as this, to start putting points on the board. For Kumasi Sports Academy, their good record up North could come in handy here as they step out to search for points at the Utrecht Park. The win over Fabulous Ladies on match day 6 has shot the team to 2nd place and Charles Anokye Frimpong will be looking at maintaining the spot to increase the team’s chances of making a top four finish. in the top four. Ampem Darkoa Ladies vs Northern Ladies
