Sea Lions picked their first win in their match day four fixture against Lady strikers in a regional derby at the Robert Mensah Stadium.
The first half saw both teams creating goal scoring chances but none entered the net to end the first half goalless.
A tactical substitution in the 65th minute which saw Theresa Ackon Cobbinah coming on for Sophia Dadzie did the magic for Sea lions as Theresah got the opener in the 67th minutes.
A well determined Sea lions not satisfied with the only goal kept on mounting pressure on Ladystrikers for more goals,Ladystrikers make several attempts to equalize but were denied by the goalkeeper Martha Annan as she made sure no goal entered her net.
In the 85th minute Elizabeth Owusu capitalized on the confused defence to get the second goal for sea lions.
Three minutes later a defender for Ladystrikers handled the ball in the penalty area out of pressure as Elizabeth Owusu stepped up and scored to get a brace for herself and the third for her side.
Sea Lions goalkeeper Martha Annan earned herself the player of the match award due to the wonderful saves she did and had her Nasco package presented to her by the chief of Elmina Nana Konduah.
