Ghana international, Samuel Yeboah is relishing the chance to pit himself on the European stage once more.

Yeboah joined the club from Hapoel Kfar-Saba FC last summer and he has been presented with the chance to impress in Europe again.

"Every player wants to play in Europe," said the Ghanaian who has already tasted European competition after scoring for FC Sheriff in their 4-2 aggregate loss to AS Saint-Etienne in the UEFA Cup first round last term.

"It's great to play in the UEFA Europa League, while this was also preparation for the league which starts in a few weeks."

The Ghanaian goes into action Thursday evening for Hapoel Tel-Aviv as they take on IFK Göteborg in the Europa League third qualifying round tie.

Yeboah helped Hapoel to a 3-1 first leg win away, scoring on the night against Göteborg but is urging his team-mates not get carried away.

Despite holding the advantage, Yeboah says they cant take their opponents, who are two-time UEFA Cup winners for granted if a place in Friday's UEFA Europa League play-off draw is to be secured.

The Ghana player is aware of the Göteborg threat as the Swedish side need to score at least three times to progress.

"We're almost through but it's not over; we have to get through the second leg at Bloomfield to reach the next round," the Ghanaian international told uefa.com.

"In the first half we were down but we thought that we could do better in the second half so we came out and pushed and we deserved to win."

With Hapoel still in their pre-season programme, the first leg win appears a deserved one and good start to the season for the Israeli side.

"We haven't started our season but we prepared well in a training camp," said Yeboah. "In the second half we pushed up and because we worked hard in the camp, we came out and won the game."

A fourth successive season in UEFA club competition for Hapoel despite it being nine years since the last of their 13 league titles arrived.

However, Yeboah wants the team to make the best out their campaign.
