The Black Maidens delivered a commanding performance in the first semi-final of the WAFU-B U17 Girls Cup, defeating Côte d'Ivoire 5-0. Christiana Ashiaku's impressive hat-trick and goals from Zipporah Ayantoya and Seidatu Wahab secured Ghana's spot in the final.
Christiana Ashiaku opened the scoring in the 13th minute and added to the tally in the 16th minute before completing her hat-trick inside 45 minutes. Ghana asserted authority from the start, showcasing attacking superiority and defensive composure. Zipporah Ayantoya extended Ghana's lead to 4-0 in the 48th minute before Seidatu Wahab sealed the 5-0 victory with a composed finish in the 67th minute.
Ghana's defense maintained a disciplined display, denying Côte d'Ivoire any goals. The Black Maidens advance to the final, pursuing the WAFU-B U17 Girls Cup trophy. Côte d'Ivoire will regroup to compete for third place.
