Day 2 of FIFA Talent Development Scheme Knowledge Exchange Programme in Accra captured in Photos
The second day of the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) Knowledge Exchange Programme, currently being held in Accra, was characterised by exciting and interactive sessions aimed at enhancing the development of football talents across the continent.
The programme has brought together technical directors and talent development experts from 17 Member Associations (MAs) from across the continent.
Tuesday’s session kicked off with brief opening remarks from former Ghana international Anthony Baffoe on the importance of grassroots programmes for African MAs.
He commended the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for its impressive presentation on Monday, which highlighted the association’s vision for talent development and the TDS initiatives.
Following that, participants from the various MAs participated in an interactive session designed to identify the talent development ecosystem and the advancements made by each MA so far.
After guiding participants through interactive workshops on building an ideal development environment, FIFA TDS specialists Willibald Ruttensteiner and Franklin Edward divided the participants into different groups for some observation tasks.
The visit to the McDan Astro turf, where the participants watched a training session led by the GFA's Elite Talent Development coaches with their U13 and U15 male and female sides, served as the high point for Tuesday's session.
