Following the violent incidents at the Nana Koronamansah Park during the match between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko, which led to the death of one individual, Chairperson of the Security Committee of the Football Association, DCOP Lydia Donkor, will be in Sunyani today to meet with the Regional Police Command as well as other stakeholders as swift action is taken to thoroughly investigate the incidents and bring persons found to be culpable to book.
The Football Association wants swift action in addressing this incident and is committed to ensuring the safety and security of spectators, players, and officials at match venues.
We are urging the football community and the general public to provide full support, especially information, to the Ghana Police Service to aid investigations and ensure the quick arrest of the perpetrators.
