As it continues to work towards firmly establishing a unique identity for Ghana Football, the Ghana Football Association shall hold a workshop on Ghana's Football DNA for Coaches of Ghana's Youth Football Teams at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, Prampram, from August 13th-19th, 2024.

The Coaches shall be taken through training which aims to update them on key elements of Ghana's Football DNA, a concept which was outdoored in 2023.

Coaches of both Male and Female Youth teams shall be exposed to both theoretical and practical components.

It will be recalled that the Ghana Football DNA which outlines the key features and captures the philosophical underpinnings of Ghana Football, was launched in 2023, with the aim of giving Coaches in Ghana a clear picture of the identity of Ghana Football. With this clear picture in mind, Coaches in Ghana (both National Team and Club Coaches), would be well positioned to know what training and developmental schemes and methods they would need to employ so as to make the most of the innate talent, skills and general characteristics and mentality of the typical Ghanaian footballer.

It is the vision of the Ghana Football Association, led by President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, that the understanding of Ghana's Football DNA permeates all the nation's national teams so as to ensure that whenever a National Team from Ghana participates in any international football tournament or match, the play of the team will reflect Ghana's Football identity.

And so, beginning with National Youth Team Coaches, the elements of the Ghana Football DNA shall be presented with both theoretical and practical aspects to be covered.

Director of Coach Education at the Ghana Football Association, Coach Desmond Ofei, shall lead these Workshops and it is expected that participating Coaches shall leave the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence armed with knowledge and practical insights into the Ghana Football DNA; and that they will be thus equipped to train players of the National Youth teams within the framework of the Ghana Football DNA.

In the long run, it is anticipated that Ghanaians and Football enthusiasts will see the Ghana Football DNA manifesting in the way Ghana's National Teams play and express themselves at the international level.
