The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season was one of the most competitive and memorable campaigns in recent years, with Medeama SC emerging as champions after finishing top of the table with 62 points, narrowly ahead of Gold Stars FC on 60 points.

Hearts of Oak secured third place with 54 points, while Dreams FC climbed into the top four with 52 points following a crucial victory over Basake Holy Stars on the final day of the season. At the other end of the table, Nations FC, Hohoe United and Eleven Wonders were relegated to the Division One League.

Hohoe United and Eleven Wonders suffered immediate relegation after gaining promotion just a season earlier, while Swedru All Blacks became the only promoted side to retain their Premier League status, sealing survival with a 2-1 away win over Asante Kotoko. Nations FC, who had been in the top flight since the 2023/24 season, finished 16th with 44 points and were unable to avoid the drop after three seasons in the league.

The season also produced several notable records and outstanding individual performances. FC Samartex goalkeeper Zakari Musah registered the most clean sheets in the league with 17, while Hearts of Oak set a new Ghana Premier League record by keeping 24 clean sheets in 34 matches. The Phobians also recorded seven away victories, the highest by any team during the campaign. Gold Stars FC established themselves as the strongest home side, becoming the only club to remain unbeaten at home throughout the season.

In terms of discipline, Aduana FC received the most red cards with six, while Vision FC, Heart of Lions and Eleven Wonders each accumulated four. Across the 306 matches played, a total of 627 goals were scored, matching the goal tally recorded during the 2021/22 season.

Here’s a look back at the key numbers, records and moments that defined the campaign.
