Head coach Maxwell Konadu has named Ghana's squad for the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship, with the Black Satellites set to begin their quest for regional glory in Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire.
The team arrived in the Ivorian city on Friday and wasted little time getting down to business, holding their first training session on Saturday as preparations intensified for their Group B opener against Nigeria on Monday, July 27.
Following the clash with Nigeria, the Black Satellites will continue their campaign against Burkina Faso before rounding off the group stage against Togo. Konadu's side will be targeting a place in the knockout stage as they seek to lift the WAFU B U-20 Championship trophy.
The tournament serves as the qualifying competition for the 2027 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, which Ghana is set to host.
The sub- regional tournament provides an important opportunity for the Black Satellites to build momentum, strengthen team cohesion, and test themselves against some of West Africa's finest young talents ahead of the continental showpiece.
