Ghana concluded their UEFA U-16 Development Tournament in an emphatic fashion, securing a dominant 7-1 victory over Latvia in a thrilling encounter. The Black Damsels showcased their attacking prowess and teamwork, leaving no doubt about their superiority on the pitch.

Ghana started the match with high intensity and quickly asserted their dominance. The opening goal came from Seidatu Wahab, who displayed excellent composure in front of goal to put Ghana ahead. Wahab wasn’t done yet, as she doubled her tally shortly after, capitalizing on a defensive lapse from Latvia to make it 2-0.

The third goal of the half was scored by Daniella Abass, who added her name to the scoresheet with a well-taken finish. Ghana’s attacking trio of Wahab, Abass, and their teammates constantly pressured Latvia’s defense, leaving the Baltic side struggling to cope. By halftime, Ghana held a commanding 3-0 lead.

The second half saw no let-up from Ghana as they continued to dominate proceedings. Christiana Ashiaku emerged as a key figure, scoring two quick goals to extend Ghana’s lead to 5-0.

Seidatu Wahab completed her hat-trick with another well-taken goal. The scoring was rounded off by Mavis Koah, who added the seventh goal with a composed finish, capping off a brilliant team performance.

Latvia managed to pull one back late in the game, but it was little more than a consolation as Ghana’s defense remained largely untroubled throughout the match.
