Former Women Premier League champions, Hasaacas Ladies stayed on the winning route on their road to recovery with their fourth successive win after beating visiting Elmina Sea Lions 3-0 in their Match Day 6 game at the Essipong Stadium.
Hasaacas, the most successful women football club in Ghana had begun this season on a rather shaky note with two losses in a row but but looked to have recovered with four wins in as many matches from Match Day 3 to Six. The early stages of the game, both teams made incursions of scoring but all chances went waste. In the 35th minutes, Janet Egyir got the opener with a fine header to an from Perpetual Agyekum cross. Hasaacas Ladies could have doubled the lead but goalkeeper Martha Annan denied them that. The first half ended with a loan goal for the home side.
The visitors started the secondhalf on a high not but the defense of Hasaacas Ladies was too solid to penetrate, the home side showed signs of increasing the tally but they were denied by the away side.
On the 71st minute, Milot Abena Pokuaa got the second goal of the day after missing a lot of chances. The pressure was high on the away but all chances created went waste till in the 89th minutes when Doris Boaduwaa got the final goal for the home side to end the game three nil for Hasaacas Ladies. Sophia Dadzie of Sea Lions won player of the match award.
