Paris Olympic Qualifiers: Ghana beat Guinea to book second round ticket

Ghana are through to the next round of the Paris 2024 Olympic qualifiers after posting a 4:0 win over Guinea at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.

The Black Queens this qualify on a 7-0 aggregate having won the 1st leg 3-0 in Conakry.

Doris Boaduwaa hit the cross bar right after kick off after getting on the end of an Evelyn Badu pass from midfield.

Evelyn Badu’s heroics on the day was rewarded in the 36th minute after her solo run found the back of the net for the opener. Badu fired a powerful shot strike into the far left corner to beat Mawa Traorè to give Ghana a perfect start to the game.

The Black Queens went into the break with a slim lead. But Priscilla Adubea increased the tally in the 52nd minute with a calm finish.

Badu grabbed her second of the afternoon through a rebound inside 65 minutes to give Ghana a 3 nil lead.

Substitute Fridaus Yakubu made it 4 in the 85th minute after connecting delicious pass from Princella Adubea from the right wing.

Ghana thus advance to the next round on a 7:0 aggregate. The team will face Benin in the second round in October.
