Ghana sealed a first qualification to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup by picking one of Africa's two places on Friday.
The Black Princesses rounded up the qualifying campaign with a 3-0 home win over DR Congo at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra to earn their passage to Germany 2010.
Faizer Ibrahim, Elizabeth Cudjoe and Florence Dadson ensured that Ghana joins the rest of the world beginning July 13 in Germany as the women game take centre stage just two days after the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ Final in South Africa.
Two first half goals from the boots of Faizer Ibrahim and Elizabeth Cudjoe seemed to have put Ghana in a comfortable lead before the third strike by Florence Dadson after the break sealed the day for the Black Princesses.
Ghana thus finish the two-leg tie 5-0 winners on aggregate after beating their opponents 2-0 in the first leg clash in Kinshasa a fortnight ago.
