Regional Football Associations brief Executive Council on developments in ongoing season
Chairmen of the Ten Regional Football Associations have met with the Executive Council to brief them on critical issues that bother on the development of football in Ghana.
The ten Regions have been very busy with their respective Leagues (2nd and 3rd Division Leagues as well as Women’s Division One and the Juvenile Leagues). The RFAs are also to ensure the successful implementation and execution of the Borehole strategy - an initiative that was introduced to improve pitches and competitions across the football ecosystem.
Key on the agenda were Women’s football development, grass-roots football i.e. KGL U-17 Champions League, the Borehole project and its challenges, funding of Regional Football activities, subvention for the Regional Football Associations and talent identification.
The meeting was attended by Samuel Aboabire (Greater Accra Chairman), Linford Asamoah Boadu (Eastern Region), Robert Duncan (Central Region), Osei Tutu Agyemang (Ashanti Region), Ralph Gyambrah (Brong Ahafo) and Daniel Agbogah (Volta Region).
Others included, Simon Ehomah (Western Region), Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzzo (Northern Region), Alhaji Salifu Zida (Upper East) and Alhaji Yahaya Sadugu (Upper West Region).
The 2021/22 football season is set to end on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
