Black Queens touch down in Accra after emphatic win over Rwanda

The Black Queens have touched down in Accra after recording a resounding 7:0 victory over Rwanda in the first leg of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Kigali.

The team arrived at the Kotoka International Airport via Air Rwanda at 2:00pm and were met by fans and the media.

Nora Hauptle’s side will continue camping in Accra ahead of the return leg scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.

The Black Queens are seeking a ticket for the second and final round of the 2024 WAFCON qualifiers. With Ghana in a commanding lead from the 1st leg, the Queens sim to record the double over Rwanda. The winner of this fixture will meet the winner of the game between The Gambia and Namibia.
