The 2024 DOL Super Cup continued to deliver exciting football action as Match Day 2 concluded on Thursday.

Young Apostles climbed to the top of Group A after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Okwawu United, while New Edubiase United and Hohoe United played out an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Young Apostles secured a crucial win against Okwawu United, thanks to a first-half goal from Kassim Sule.

The victory came after Young Apostles made five changes to their lineup from their previous match, demonstrating their depth and tactical flexibility. This win puts the Young Apostles in a strong position as they head into their final group game.

The first game of the day saw New Edubiase United and Hohoe United share the spoils in a thrilling 2-2 draw. Philip Amo opened the scoring for New Edubiase as early as the 7th minute, but Hohoe United fought back with goals from Safianu Usman and Kwadwo Boamah.

Despite being reduced to ten men after Umar Mohammed received a second yellow card, New Edubiase managed to equalize through a penalty converted by Obed Asamoah.

In their opening games, New Edubiase United suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Okwawu United, while Young Apostles drew 1-1 with Hohoe United. These results set the stage for the intriguing clashes on Match Day 2, with all teams eager to secure their positions in the group.
