Twenty two players have been invited to the national U-23 camp as they begin the first phase of preparations for their upcoming qualifiers.
The selected players are expected to report at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Friday November 30.
Assistant Black Stars coach Ibrahim Tanko has been given additional responsibilities as Head coach of the U23 national team.
The Black Meteors will face Togo in a two legged tie in the first round of the Africa U-23 championship qualifiers to be staged next year in Egypt.
Winner of the tie will move to the next stage of the qualifiers to face countries like Nigeria, Congo, Senegal and South Africa have all drawn bye for the second round.
Out of thirty countries lined up for the qualifiers, seven will join host Egypt for next year’s championship.
The first three teams from the competition in Egypt next year will represent Africa at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020.
Ghana has not qualified for the Olympic games since the format for qualification to the quadrennial competition was changed.
