40 Participants partake in GFA Sponsored All Female License D Coaching Course

The GFA sponsored All Female License D Coaching Course is currently ongoing at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

The course began on Monday, January 29 , 2024 with all 40 registered participants in attendance.

Mr. Charles Anokye Frimpong is the led instructor with assistance from Madam Joyce Boatey Adjei and Madam Bernice Adutwumwaa. The course is supervised by GFA Director for Coaching Education, Professor Joseph Mintah.

As part of the course, participants were introduced to theory topics such as  basic principles and concept of grassroot football and understanding their roles as coach educators.

Participants have also engaged in practical activities on the pitch including how to the basic roles of a Coach.

They will also be taken through detailed theory sessions will cover topics like principles of teaching and learning, safety and accident prevention in football, First Aid /CPR Training and Stages of development and characteristics of Children (11-12).

Some of the key training areas of the course include the Ghana Football DNA, growth and development of young footballers, methods of coaching, and cardiovascular resuscitation/administration of first aid.

These will also be coupled with practical activities till course ends on Sunday, February 5, 2024.

This is part of the GFA’s goal to increase the number of female coaches  and close the gender gap demonstrated in our football ecosystem with regard to coaching.
