Former Premier League side Great Olympics ended a two-game winless run by beating a resilient Attram De Visser side 2-0 at the McDan Sports Complex on Sunday. Kojo Zimbo broke the deadlock with a header in the 70th minute for Great Olympics before Ibrahim Abubakar added the second goal in the 84th minute for the home side. Accra Great Olympics are second in the table level on points (31) with leaders Hohoe United who play against Inter Allies on Monday. .
Elsewhere in Koforidua, another former Premier League side Okwawu United recorded their fourth home victory this season after defeating Na God FC in a five-goal thriller. Ayikwei Aryeetey scored first for Okwawu United in the 16th minute, but Kwesi Ankumah responded with a stunner in the 35th minute. Ayikwei Aryeetey scored again in the 44th minute to make it 2-1 for the home side. After the break, Ayikwei Aryeetey completed his hat-trick with a lovely goal for Okwawu United in the 53rd minute before Frank Amoani made it 3-2 for Na God FC in the 80th minute.
In Kukurantumi - Port City FC came from behind to beat Rainmasters 2-1 – bringing to an end a three-game winless run. Dickson Afoakwah put Rainmasters in front in the 12th minute, but Prince Okraku equalized with a screamer in the 38th minute before David Duncan netted the winner in the 70th minute for Port City.
