Ghana comprehensively beat Lesotho 7-0 in the opening Group D fixture in the qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup but the Black Stars have stumbled.
The Black Stars' impressive start to the campaign suffered last Saturday when they lost 1-0 to Zambia in Ndola, a result which gives all sides in the group an equal chance of progressing to the third round.
Before heading off to Zambia, the Black Stars, heroes against Lesotho were in high spirits but faltered as their hopes of cancelling out Christopher Katongo's 15th opener failed.
However, Andre Ayew, who has missed the opening two games through a shoulder injury, Ghana will have to pick the positives and stay grounded when the qualifiers return next year.
“Now we need to work harder. Every game must be do or die for Ghana now,” said Andre Ayew, who on Saturday night was decorated with the 2011 Footballer of the Year prize by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana.
“I just feel we need to learn from our mistakes and keep the good side of it.”
And when the campaign returns with a home game against leaders, Sudan, who are top of the standing with four points on March 23rd, Andre hopes Ghana will resurrect the momentum.
