Ahead of the first meeting between Ghana and Portugal at this level, coach of the Black Stars Kwesi Appiah says his side will give off their best.

Ghana needs a win to stand a chance of qualifying for the second round as they sit third on the Group G table with one point, same like the Portuguese.

Both sides, who will clash in Brasilia, trail joint-top Germany and the United States who are level on 4 points apiece.

However, Appiah is just focused on the task ahead of his team though a draw in the other fixture will end any hope of a Round of 16 place.

"We are not looking at it [Germany v US] at the moment. Whatever happens, if we have to qualify, fine. And if not, we think we've not disgraced ourselves in this competition," Appiah said just after arriving at the Estadio Nacional for the game with Portugal.

"We had problems but it's all been resolved now. We are going to give them a good game.

"Portugal are a good side and we are also a good side. We will give them a good match and hope it goes well."
