Asante Kotoko have made it to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup Competition after beating Coton Sport by a 5-3 aggregate score line.

Kotoko beat the Cameroonian side 2-1 on Sunday afternoon after their earlier 3-2 away victory in Yaoundé last weekend.

Captain Amos Frimpong got the opener for Kotoko just before the half time break before Maxwell Baakoh doubles the lead in the second half. 

However,with about 10 minutes to full time the Oumar Sali got a consolation goal for his side as Kotoko held on to ensure that secure the double win over the Cameroonians.

The win has ended the Porcupine warriors’ decade long absence from the group stage of the competition
