The Black Meteors will wrap up their pre-tournament training tour in Egypt today June 20,2023 with a friendly match against Zamalek SC.
The National U23 team will face the Egyptian Giants at the Zamalek Sports Complex at 5:30pm (2:30pm in Ghana) on Tuesday.
Tuesday’s friendly match will wrap up this phase of the team’s preparations for the 2023 TotalEnergies U23 African Cup of Nations to be staged in Morocco.
The team is expected to leave its training base in Cairo on Wednesday and continue its preparations in Rabat, Morocco.
Ghana will take on Congo in our opening match of the competition on Sunday, June 25,2023 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The Black Meteors will then take on hosts Morocco in the second Group A game at the same venue.
Ghana’s final group game will be against Guinea at the Grand Stade de Tanger.
Two best teams from Group A and B will advance to the semifinals stage of the competition.
Winner of the tournament and the two runner ups will qualify to compete in the 2024 Olympic Games Mens Soccer competition in Paris next year.
