The Black Starlets' technical team, led by Coach Stephen Frimpong Manso, has arrived in Wa, Upper West Region, for the final leg of their Northern sector scouting exercise. This initiative aims to identify talented young players born after January 1, 2009, from across the region.
The scouting exercise, scheduled for Friday at the Youth Centre in Wa, will assess players from the Upper West Region. Previously, the team conducted screenings in Bolgatanga, starting with players from the GFA Elite Academy and various clubs in the region.
The screening process involved a training match between selected players from the academy and club sides, ultimately leading to the selection of top prospects for the U17 National team's pool of players. This scouting exercise is part of the Ghana Football Association's efforts to develop the next generation of players for the Black Starlets.
The Northern sector screening exercise, which began in Sunyani, has already made stops in Goaso, Techiman, Tamale, and Winkogo in the Upper East Region.
