Stand in captain Thomas Partey got the opener in Ghana’s 2-0 over Japan in their international friendly played in Nissan stadium in Yokohama on Wednesday.

Emmanuel Boateng got his first goal for the senior national team when he converted from the spot in the 51st minute to increase the tally for Black Stars.

The Japanese were using the game as part of their preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup to be staged in Russia where they will face African side Senegal in the group stage.

The Black Stars will now face World Cup- bound Iceland on June 7 in another friendly.
