On the sidelines of the CAF African Schools Football Championship, a Grassroots Festival will take place at the SMAC Sports Centre off the Spintex Road on Friday, April 25, 2025.
This community outreach event will bring together Under 12 boys and girls in a celebration of football. Kids from the University of Ghana Basic School, SMAC Sports Academy, and Juventus Academy will have a lifetime experience with African football legends Abedi Pele, Asamoah Gyan, Clementine Toure, Amanda Dlamini, Robert Kidiaba, Kareem Haggui and Adwoa Bayor.
The program aims to empower and inspire young girls and boys through the beautiful game of football. Participants under 12 will engage in various football activities designed to nurture their skills and passion for the sport. The festival features training sessions led by newly trained licensed D coaches, supervision by CAF legends, and a thrilling football match between CAF Executive Committee members and GFA Executive Council members.
The 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship, scheduled to take place at the University of Ghana Stadium, kicks off on Wednesday, April 23, and wraps up on Friday, April 26, 2025.
