Coach Fabin names Ghana XI for second friendly against Japan

Hearts of Oak Goalkeeper Richmond Ayi will be in post for the Black Meteors in today’s U24 friendly match against Japan.

Ayi who was on bench in Saturday’s encounter between the two sides due to a slight injury, has been declared fit to start in Tuesday’s game which will be played at the Best Denki stadium - Fukuoka.

Ghana lost 6-0 in the first friendly game played between the two sides on Saturday and Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has reacted with slight changes to his starting line up for today’s game.

In defense, former U20 teammates Uzair Alhassan and Frank Assinki will form the central defensive pair with Frank  Owusu Amoabeng with Joselpho Barnes and Samuel Abbey Ashie-Quaye as right and left wingbacks respectively.

Coach Fabin also named Osman Bukari, Emmanuel Essiam, Jonah Attuquaye and Sabit Abdulai in midfield.

Frimpong Boateng has also been handed a starting role upfront for the Black Meteors.

The game is scheduled to begin at 06:00am GMT.
