The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has paid a courtesy call on Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II to discuss issues related to the growth of football in the country.

The visit was to pay homage to Nana Dormaahene as well as to inform him about key aspects of the GFA President's visit to the Brong Ahafo Football Region which included the 'Meet The Press" Series as well as stakeholder engagements with the leadership of the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association (BARFA) and representatives of Premier, Women and Division One League Clubs based in the region.

The President thanked the owner of Premier League side Aduana FC for his guidance and personal support to him, in particular, and Ghana Football in general.

Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, who has a fantastic relationship with the President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, expressed his gratitude to the revered chief for investing in the game while appreciating his efforts in the forward march of football in Ghana.

"I want to use this opportunity to thank our revered Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II for his personal support to me as well as football in general. We appreciate the warm reception accorded us since we arrived in this region,"

"He (Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II) has done tremendously well in positioning Aduana FC as a powerhouse of Ghana football. We appreciate him for his continuous investment in the game which has offered a source of livelihood to hundreds of homes."

"Without his investment and support, many of these footballers would have lost out on a promising future in football. I am extremely grateful to him for his counsel and guidance over the years."

"I will return to this beautiful palace to pay further homage to our highly respected chief but I want to reiterate my own appreciation and that of the Executive Council for his passion, commitment and dedication to the game in Ghana."

On his part, Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II, applauded the GFA President for his transformational leadership since he assumed the reigns of power in 2019.

"I want to thank you for the visit. You have brought a lot of innovations to the administration of our game and I am confident that we'll reap the results in due course."

"Ghanaians must understand that the so-called minnows have also caught up with the known powerhouses in football including Ghana and so we must be patient with our steady growth and development."

The Dormahene was full of praise for the swift decisions from the judicial bodies of the GFA.

"I have taken notice of the rapidity with which judicial decisions are delivered. The era of delayed judgements is now a thing of the past and that, for me, is welcoming. I will urge you to continue this trajectory of dispensing justice fairly and timeously."

He also urged the GFA President and his Executive Council to be fair and impartial to all members and offered his support to the President and the Ghana Football Association.

"Let me hasten to add that despite the immense gains made under your leadership, I will urge you to deal decisively and fairly with all manner of persons or groups."

"There should be no bias towards certain people and certain groups of people. The chips must fall where they must and this must be done with an open mind and fairness."

"We'll continue to offer our support to you (President Simeon-Okraku) and the Ghana Football Association. My doors are always opened to your good self and everyone associated with our game. I have been impressed with the gains made. I will urge you to keep the focus and deliver your mandate, which you are doing brilliantly so far."

President Simeon-Okraku was accompanied by Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association (BARFA) Chairman, Dr. Charles Osei Anto, President of Bibiani Gold Stars FC, Isaac Yeboah,  Head of Public Relations and Strategy, Neil Armstrong Mortagbe, RFA Coordinator, Michael Daasebre Adu-Asare, Nsoatreman FC Board member, Aphonse Cudjoe and Aduana FC General Manager, Takyi Arhin and some staff of the GFA amongst others.
