The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will be announcing the fixtures for the 2024/25 Access Bank Division One League (DOL) on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
This announcement will provide clubs with crucial information about their upcoming matches, including their opponents and travel schedules.
The start and finish dates for the league were confirmed last week, with the season set to kick off on September 27, 2024, and conclude on June 2, 2025.
In a notable change from previous seasons, there will be no official midweek fixtures, with all games scheduled to take place over the weekends.
This adjustment aims to provide players with adequate rest and recovery time, ensuring a competitive and balanced league.
Ten new clubs have earned promotion from the Division Two leagues and will be joining the Division One League for the upcoming season. The newly promoted clubs are as follows:
- Zone 1: Yapei FC, Walewale Catholics Stars, Wa Sore Nante FC, and Dormaa Unity FC
- Zone Two: Sekondi Eleven Wise, Galaxy FC, and UCC Youngsters FC
- Zone Three: Inter Allies FC, Port City, True Democracy
These teams will be eager to make their mark in the Division One League, competing for promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
The fixture release on August 13 will provide all participating clubs with the roadmap for the season, allowing them to prepare adequately for their campaign.
