The free License D Coaching Course for Colts and Women’s club coaches in the Western Region, will start on August 28, 2024, and slated to conclude on September 4, 2024.
This initiative is designed to bolster the skills and knowledge of local football coaches, thereby enhancing the quality of coaching at the grassroots level across the region.
The session will be hosted at the Essiama Secondary Technical School, and will welcome a cohort of 40 participants, including 30 Colts coaches and 10 female coaches.
This diverse group reflects the GFA’s commitment to fostering inclusive development within Ghanaian football, ensuring that both male and female coaches receive the training necessary to nurture and develop talent effectively.
In addition to the core coaching curriculum, participants will undergo GFA/FIFA Safeguarding training. This component is crucial in equipping coaches with the knowledge and tools to protect the welfare and safety of young players, promoting a secure and positive environment within the sport.
The training sessions will be led by experienced instructors Evans Augustine Adotey, Emmanuel Kwesi Mensah, and Kingsley Sagoe.
This course is part of the GFA’s broader strategy to elevate coaching standards nationwide, with the goal of developing a strong foundation for the future of Ghanaian football.
